Submission Guidelines

We accept on-line submissions only. You can send your submissions to: submission [AT] kalkion [DOT] com. We do not accept submissions through snail mails.

Send the submissions in plain text, without any formatting. We accept either .odt, .rtf or plain ASCII formats. We do not accept submissions in any other format, especially any proprietary or non-free format.

If you have a query regarding your submission, you can contact the editor at : editor [AT] kalkion [DOT] com. Refer to the Submission FAQs before sending a query mail to the editor.

Please ensure that submitted content does not violate or infringes on some one else's copyright. A submission should be accompanied by a certificate / disclaimer by you which states: "I (your name) hereby declare that the work submitted (name of the work) is my original creation and it does not violate anyone's copyright. In case of any legal dispute I will face the charges."

Author's name and address should be on the first page of the manuscript.

Science Fiction and Fantasy Stories:
We accept SF short stories of any length. Ideally, length of the story should be between 2,000-7,000 words.

Articles:
The length of the article should be between 2,000 - 4,000 words.

Poetry:
No length restrictions.

What we may not accept:
We may not accept graphic violence and explicit sexual content. However, it is difficult to draw a line. The best way is: send it to us and if our editors approve it without a frown, it is there!

Payment: Kalkion is a new venture. We currently do not pay to authors. All we offer for the time being is publicity of your work. But, we sincerely hope that we will find a revenue generation model and will be able to pay our contributors in future.
